31 things on a stick: more twitter

more twitter
i just downloaded tweetdeck on my computer, i guess i thought it was via the internet but it's not, so i can't provide a url to follow. i also downloaded tweetdeck on my mobile phone. so far i like the way it is set up in columns and you can see your facebook page. i like the idea of sharing authors on my webpage or blog with students and i had a friend want to share twitter sights so i am going to try looking at that options. more later, alot to look at.

i tried twitpic i will work on this addition. i think i am going to like this. i have my restaurants loaded already. i like the mobile phone aspect of it.

much to do.

30 things: new ways to use RSS and Delicious

In the first round of 23 things i started using Delicious and i thought this was the best thing i ever did. i have turned so many people on to this site.
in the next round of 23 things i played with Diigo, so i transfered my bookmarks to diigo and stopped using delicious. one thing i notices about the switch is that webpages that i visit have the delicious logo on the page so you can bookmark their site. i have never noticed the diigo logo.
i am not sure which one i like better.

i am adding a network badge to my page. i can see where this will be fun to use and get people to follow me.

does Diigo have this?
RSS
i tried RSS in the first round and basically didn't get it nor were there sites to follow. in the last year this has explodes and i can now appreciate what it can do. i use google reader. i have added a shared widget to the page, let's see how this works.

29 things on a stick: google tools

i have been using google tools all year. i have created docs where i post grants, spreadsheets any information that i want my staff to have access to. this year i tried the google forms. i have students reading books for me and they are filling out the reviews using these forms. i then see the information via a spreadsheet where i can review and tally responses.

i am going to a google workshop this summer and i will be using all the google applications. i did want to try google sites so i started my project.

28 things on a stick: customized home pages

I have been using many google tools and i have created an igoogle site. i use one for home, one for school.
i decided to try netvibes, this is a work in progress.

26 things on a stick: sign up for 23 Ning

i signed up for NIng in the first round and never used it. i have joined a few since. ALAN had one for conference goers, which at the time was helpful with information but i have never looked again. so i am going to bypass #26 for now.

i found a ning that sounded very interesting, thanks to the stacked librarian. It's called camp-read-a-lot

25 things on a stick: bloggers' toolkit

I think the toolkit should have been first. The biggest tip was what do you want your blog to be about. i have decided to change things up and blog about living downtown. it's been on my list of things to do, direct people to one spot of my favorite haunts!

i have spent way to much time in this area, reading information, deciding what to try. So i decided to add outbrain. This site is for content rating and recommendations. i can see using it on my page to review restaurant choices and on my school website when posting book recommendation. they have a you might like this area, but i have found so far that random postings are put there so until i have time to look at this more closely i have turned off the feature.

24 things on a stick: Refresh your Blog

i have to admit that i have not added to the blog that i created last year. i guess Blogging would not be my favorite thing to do, but i continue to see if i can find a way to use it with my students and my personal life.
i have been working on updating the blog, have a new template, worked on an avatar and finally figured out how to add to the blog. have figured out the new layout but i am not sure what i would use all the gadgets for.
some suggestions would be helpful!
